Arturo M. Tolentino: I wish people will remember me for The Law of the Sea

Manila Congressman has obtained the unanimous vote of the House officials as one of the most useful lawmaker.

Though an oppositionist he discusses issues on a purely non-partisan bases. “He is on the level all the time”, said a fellow legislator. “His motives can not be questioned.” Tolentino was never absent from and always active in hearings of the committee on Rules”, observed a house leader.

Fellow legislators have been impressed by Tolentino’s constructive opposition. Brilliant and serious in his work, Tolentino proved to be of great help to the Committee on Rules, particularly in the screening of measures, before submitting them to the floor for discussion.

In a special committee on the Civil Code, he made good use of his experience as a lawyer and as Professor of Law in the formulation of sound amendments.
